Dee Williams to Hike PCT for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

As many of you may know, I live in a tiny 84-sq.ft house in my friends’ backyard… My dad was diagnosed with Leukemia in September last year, and is doing pretty good but “is scared” as he finally admitted on the phone a few days ago. We are so much alike… stubborn softies at heart.

I’m planning to raise money this summer by hiking a section (or two) of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), as a participant in the Team in Training with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Some people run marathons, others do triathalons .. me, I’m hiking and thinking about my dad, one step at a time.  Again, asking isn’t easy for me, but I’m doing it anyway.” – Dee Williams

Dee, I am so amazed by you anyway, but this is totally awesome. One of my dearest friends here where I live has leukemia, so I am already involved with an association, but for you I will pledge by the mile on the site you provided, so you go girl! God bless you in this. Be safe!
