The one thing I can honestly say about living on an off-the-grid homestead is that preparing is not something we do like “preppers” who you see on television or read about. My normal, every day life consists of always being prepared. It is just something we do, in our day to day life here. We have been busy for fourteen years of remaking it into a true modern day homestead. It is closer than it was in 1999, but I really don’t think it will ever be completed.
