Family of Five – Nomadic Tiny Living Success Story

Denver & Vanessa Miller live on the road full time with their 3 boys – all under 5. Denver has a job where he can work remotely and can live anywhere – so they live everywhere.

Jenna from Tiny House Giant Journey recently visited with the Millers while at the annual Tiny House Jamboree and filmed this detailed tiny home tour. On the outside it’s clearly a converted school bus, but on the inside it’s all owner-built tiny house.

Life in a Tiny House for a Family of Three

We’ve been living in our tiny trailer house for nearly a year now (Since December 2013) and we love it. One of the most wonderful things has been seeing our home evolve to suit our changing needs and the addition of our precious baby, Hazel. We’re amazed at how well our tiny house works for us as a family of 3.” – Shaye at DIY House Building

273 Square Foot Tiny Apartment for a Family

This 273ft2/22m2 apartment in Warsaw is home for a small family, and although space is scarce the apartment doesn’t feel cramped.  Storage and bed is combined in a big box and there is easy access to the loftbed (even for a dog) because there’s a proper staircase leading up to the bed. In the staircase are built-in drawers.” – Living in a shoebox

Self-Sufficiency on 1/4 Acre

A tiny house on a tiny plot of land. It’s an ideal scenario for a good portion of tiny house dwellers and soon-to-be tiny house dwellers.
Since owning a tiny house, in a sense, is being financially self-sufficient, owning the land it sits on takes that level of self-suffiency one step further. Since a tiny house obviously takes up a very small amount of land, there will be some remaining land even on the smallest plots.
