440 Square Foot Desert Retreat by Alchemy Architects

This 440 ft2 (40.9 m2) weeHouse has just two rooms, an all-in-one living space and a bathroom. The living space has a bed placed in the middle of the room with a kitchenette and dining area at one end and a small sitting area at the other end. Custom cabinetry and wood finishes dress up the room. The surprisingly large and luxurious bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. A separate shed houses the laundry machines and hot water tank.” – SmallHouseBliss

McGlasson weeHouse – A Small Vacation Rental

Two bedrooms and one bath, an IKEA kitchen, and a living room surrounded by the owner’s own handmade storage and objects make up the most asked-about modified weeHouse by Alchemy. At 756 SF, the house’s rooftop deck adjoins a guest room and features an exterior (only) site-built stair access. Located near Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota, the red stained pine “Corncrib” siding was inspired by local wood cabins and the image of a tugboat.” – Alchemy Architects

weeHouse: The 10th Anniversary of the Prefab Mini-Home

Designed by Alchemy Architects for a violinist of the Minnesota Orchestra and her family, the weeHouse is a small off-grid house, located near Lake Pepin, Minnesota. The weeHouse model has been reproduced many times over, often several times larger than this original version, which is just 336 square feet. The interior is clad with Douglas Fir, giving the home a natural warmth. The home features IKEA furnishings in the kitchen, living area, and sleeping areas.” – Niall
