Ever since I heard of tiny houses I’ve been wanting to build one for my family to live in. I also plan on helping my children build their own before they move out of my house so they can live rent free also.
    thanks

  2. Lori Smith says:

Considering this for our family changes. Interested in finding out how these houses stand the test of time? What is their life expectancy?

    • Cam says:

The one I built after being looked at by a number of contractor types, have all agreed it should last 50+ years with normal maintenance.

  3. Drew says:

This would be awesome to win! I’m writing my master’s thesis (master of urban and regional planning) on regulatory and administrative barriers (real and perceived) to tiny houses. These would be a fantastic resource!

  4. Stephanie Driggers says:

I am a residential designer in Terre Haute, indiana. I’ve been self employed for 6 years now, designing homes for local contractors and individuals for a total of 12 years. I’m intrigued, or obsessed more so, with the “tiny home” idea. We all need to live more realistic and aware of what’s happening around us.

  5. Barbara Murray says:

even if I don’t win, I am going to buy these books, I am so going to have one of these Tiny Homes some how, I am so tired of all the drama and dishonesty of the human race now. I lived in a cabin out in the woods when I was a small child, and my grandmother had a small cabin with just a wood heater, a well and an out house, and I was so happy…..looking forward to spending the rest of my life in one, with a small garden and some chickens…..

I have no chance for this random competition of giving away the Tiny House Book, because I am
Thai ,not living in the U.S. . However, I would like to thank the book owner for extending your kindness to give these books to those who love to have a simple life living in a tiny house.

My interest in the books are more geared towards a solution for homelessness. A group of friends and I are looking for low cost/ eco friendly/ sustainable housing options for those in great need. As I get older the thoughts of living in a smaller space has more and more appeal. My parents are at the end of their lives, and find that their belongings are a burden, indeed almost trapping them in their home. I’ve been an avid watcher at the developments in the Tiny House movement, and hope sometime soon to find the right place to concentrate on living a more manageable kind of life.
