Derek ‘ Deek’ Diedricksen is a true do-it-yourselfer. In his book, Humble Homes Simple Shacks… you can see tons of cartoon-like sketches for wacky tiny houses he actually builds.
In addition to teaching workshops for Tumbleweed from time to time, he offers his own Deek-style workshops too. These are more hands-on, where you learn to use the tools and actually take part in building something. You might even get a bit dirty and work up a sweat.
He has a workshop coming up, November 15-17, 2013 in Canton MA (near Boston). If you hurry you might catch one of the last open spots.
