Skylights have been installed on our little tiny roof! We have two larger skylights in the great room and a smaller one above the bedroom loft for stargazing and the like. We had a little hiccup with the skylights since Lowes sent us the wrong ones and we didn’t figure it out till it got installed. The glass on the skylights are supposed to be transparent rather than opaque. It’s been tricky to install the skylights so with a little maneuvering we were able to get Lowes to remedy their mistake by agreeing to send us the correct glass.” …Continues
The windows and roofing will be arriving this week. It’s a little later than we were expecting but in the meantime our metal sheathing is being installed.
We decided not to do traditional sheathing but we needed to have the metal sheathing installed over the house-wrap in key areas of the house to prevent racking and provide stability for when the windows and roof get installed.” …Continues
You might be wondering why this topic is of great debate. There is a plethora of insulation options out there. First, it was important for us to settle on an insulation option that was a safe for us.
