Pacifica by Zyl Vardos at the Tiny House Hotel

Abel Zyl, of Zyl Vardos, builds some of the most beautiful and whimsical tiny homes. The Tiny House Hotel in Portland, Oregon is one of the best places to experience tiny house living. Pictured here is a great opportunity to give tiny house living a try in a custom hand built tiny home. They can even provide a wheelchair ramp for those that need it.

Sleeping Around – A Compact Luxurious Hotel Room

Small portable housing in a standard 20-foot shipping container. Another example of semi-portable micro housing.

Our pop-up hotel offers a readymade answer: a compact yet luxurious hotel room, equipped with all the mod cons: a box-spring bed, rain shower, iPod docking station and air conditioning – all contained in a 20ft recycled sea container.” – Sleeping Around

Avalanche Ranch Wagons

Our wagons are like “fancy Camping”. While ours don’t have all the comforts of home, they do have: a full-size mattress, with bedding, coffee maker with coffee and teas, towels, a BBQ grill and picnic table. They have a fan for summer and a space heater for cooler months.
They do NOT have kitchens or bathrooms.  They are located near the hot springs pools, so you can use the showers and restroom located there.  There is also a restroom at the Lodge for your use.” – Avalanche Ranch

Tidal Wave Proof Tiny House

OK… not really… well maybe… actually I bet this is tidal wave proof. It’s a tiny hotel accommodation currently in the Netherlands made from an oil rig escape pod. So on your next trip abroad be on the lookout for odd places to stay… you never know what kind of tiny little place you might find and how it might make your trip a little more interesting.
