  • Alain Berteau’s UV Nomadic House

Here’s a cool folding tiny house design concept by Alain Berteau. Here’s what the designer says about it: “UV is a mix between a trailer and a contemporary solar-powered expandable leisure glass house. It takes only minutes to deploy it in any beautiful place.

  • Mobile Log Cabins

One of my readers, Schaun, saw one of these rolling down the highway in Colorado and later sent me a tip on this tiny house manufacturer.

They don’t provide a lot of information on their website but they the cabins look like the real deal mounted on something like a mobile home trailer. So for someone looking for a turn-key log cabin this might be an excellent option. Thanks again Schaun!

Roaming Times, an RV review website, has named the Earthbound RV as the Green RV of the year. I don’t usually cover trailers or RVs but this one looked worth a quick peek.

  • Tanker House Concept

You’ve seen shipping container homes but have you seen truck tanker homes? So far this is just a concept for a tiny house but is really well thought out illustrated. Great food for the imagination by Aristede Antonas.

  • Oikos Studio Cottage

This is a new design concept from Craig, a fellow tiny house dreamer. It’s a modified straw bale that uses low cost corrugated steel on the walls and roof. A wood stove plus passive solar design would provide the heat.

  • Adjusting to a Small Cabin

I’ve been really enjoying the posts at the KMS Woodworks Blog. This recent post focuses on spending a fews days over spring break in their small cabin with the kids. One of the new experiences was adjusting to living with a sawdust toilet.

  • The FernHouse

Here’s a very nice little screened in cabin in Vermont called the FernHouse, created by Bob Swinburne, an architect in Brattleboro, Vermont. It’s nicknamed FernHouse because it looks like is floats on a sea of ferns during the summer months.
