Emerald Moss House – Inspiring Tiny House Sculpture by Sally Smith

Now to the details of this house… this one is one of the larger sculptures that I’ve built. I had found this patch of moss clinging to a cliff area and it begged for a house to be built here, so I did!

It took me 4 days just to collect all the stones and bring them to the site… there were no stones at all in this area so they all were gathered from a stream bed that was about a half a mile away. The house took many more days to build. The window circle alone took me a whole day. The porch “roof” is a lovely fungus I found on a fallen log on the trail in.”

We’d love to see ideas like this, because they can inspire folks to build tiny homes from natural materials in natural spaces.
