    Plans are moving ahead in the Austin area to house about 200 people who are chronically homeless.  Community First Village has been about a decade in the making and in just a matter of months, it will break ground.

    The property is 27 acres, with little cottages, mobile homes and even some teepees dotting the landscape. A three-acre community garden is also on-site. ” – KUT

    This 440 ft2 (40.9 m2) weeHouse has just two rooms, an all-in-one living space and a bathroom. The living space has a bed placed in the middle of the room with a kitchenette and dining area at one end and a small sitting area at the other end.   • The Field Lab’s New Neighbor

    Looks like John Wells is going to have more company out in the desert. Pictured here is her outhouse. I wonder what kind of home Dona Lu plans to build?

    “My part time SW neighbor Dona Lu came out to work on her place for the weekend.  She pre-built studded walls for an out house building and needed a second pair of hands holding the parts so she could lag screw them together.  Quite impressed with her design and carpentry skills.”
